Property owners have an opportunity to meet with an assessor at Open Book on Monday, September 26 between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Village Hall (lighthouse), located at 4725 Lighthouse Dr. Three assessors from Associated Appraisal will be available to meet with property owners who have questions or concerns about their 2016 assessment. Walk-ups are welcome but priority will be given to those who made appointments in advance.
Notices of assessment were mailed out to all property owners on September 13 indicating the 2016 assessed value as a result of the village revaluation project. The revaluation involved interior and exterior property inspections of properties in the Village.
If you have questions or concerns about your assessment, it is recommended to meet with the assessor at Open Book, as most questions can be resolved before appearing before the Board of Review.
