On Saturday, June 18, runners participating in the annual YMCA Lighthouse Run will make their way through Wind Point between about 8:15 to 10 a.m., running counter-clockwise on the inside lane of Four Mile Rd., Lighthouse Dr. and Three Mile Rd. The outside lane will be open for vehicular traffic (one way). Please plan accordingly as delays are to be expected at intersections during the race! This year YMCA has included an option in the race registration form to donate to lighthouse maintenance.
Ironman Triathlon Comes Through Wind Point on Sunday, July 17
The annual Ironman 70.3 Racine Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 17. The bike portion of the triathlon will pass through on N. Main St. and will cause delays for vehicles entering and leaving the Village. The heaviest bike traffic is expected to occur between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The run portion of the event will come through Wind Point on Three Mile Rd., will head north on Lighthouse Dr., turn around at Shoop Park and head back the same way toward Racine. The northbound lane will be used by the runners and the southbound lane will remain open to traffic. For more information on the Ironman event, click here.
