The Wind Point Village Board of Trustees currently has one (1) seat open due to the resignation of Lincoln Murphy who is moving out of the Village and no longer eligible to serve on the Board. In an effort to move forward with a full seven member Board, it has been determined that the vacant seat will be filled by appointment of the Village Board in accord with WI State Statutes.
The term of the appointment will expire in April 2017. Any interested Village resident, who is a minimum of 18-years old and a legal citizen of the United States, is hereby welcome to submit a letter of interest and statement of qualifications.
Please submit your letter no later than 4:30 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Applications may be sent to the attention of the Village Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer, Michael Hawes, at 215 E. Four Mile Rd., Racine, WI 53402 or [email protected].
The Village Board will conduct a formal interview of the interested candidates at their July 14 Board Meeting. The appointment procedure will be as follows:
- The appointment process will be held in Open Session.
- Candidates will be interviewed by the Village Board.
- Each individual who submitted an application will be provided up to 5-minutes to give a verbal presentation to the Village Board (presentation is optional). Presentation order will be determined by a random drawing of names at the meeting.
- The Village Board members will take turns asking a question of the interested persons.
- The Village Board will then vote upon the appointment in Open Session.
If you have any questions, please contact Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer Michael Hawes at 262-639-3524 or [email protected].
