Village Assessor Keith Munson has prepared the initial 2014 real estate assessment roll and mailed notices to all owners of any property with changed values. State law sets a procedure for reviewing property assessments annually. Property owners have an opportunity to meet with the village assessor to discuss their property value at Open Book. The 2014 Open Book will be May 28 from 4-6 pm at the Administrative Office. Call (800) 242-2130 to schedule an appointment.
If after speaking with the assessor a property owner is not satisfied with the property value, they may file an objection to the Board of Review. The 2014 Board of Review will meet June 5 from 5:30-7:30 at the Village Hall.
